Look at the fabulous leather skirt that Liz from Cotton & Curls made! The high waist and A-line shape cut a sophisticated silhouette. She shares a tutorial on her blog showing how she did it. She actually used faux leather, but you could just as easily make it out of real leather if you prefer. Leather and faux leather both show pin holes permanently, so be careful that any pinning happens within your seam allowance. For the hem, she recommends a no sew hem tape to reduce the number of stitch holes (also permanent!) in your leather. Go to Cotton & Curls for the tute.
