Cinch Belt Fascination

I hated the 1980’s honestly. As a teenager in the 80’s, I was obsessed with the 40’s. I would wear these fabulous high-waisted pants with gorgeous little tops and even turban-like head wraps. Seriously, I wish I had those now- sigh…

Oh wait, back to the 80’s. The one thing I did get out of that era (besides the music) is cinched belts. I adore them! They are the perfect accessory to show off your waist or cover it up a bit if the need should arise.

I am filming a little series this weekend and have the perfect dress to wear but it really needs something. Ooh, what about a fabulous little obi belt to dress it up?

I found this simple belt tutorial on Simplicity’s website to make 2 variations of my beloved cinch belt. Fabulous! Looks like I won’t have to forgo pasta for dinner tonight after all.
