In this tutorial, I’ll guide you through the simple steps of transforming an oversized shirt into a fashion-forward garment with drawstring features. It’s a fun and straightforward process that’s perfect for sewists of all skill levels, adding another stylish me-made piece to your wardrobe while also giving new life to pre-loved clothing. Full tutorial including a video can be seen here.

Is there a way to get a copy of your pattern for the Black Sheep from Melly and me? My maiden name is Lamb and we are having a craft contest for our family reunion. I would love to make these adorable sheep. If you could let me know, I would appreciate it.

Oh, that would be so cool to do for your family reunion! I don’t think you can order directly from Melly & Me, but their blog does give a list of retailers who carry their patterns. I found the Black Sheep pattern at Pink Chalk Fabrics, but I’m sure there are plenty of other retailers who also carry this particular pattern. –Anne

The deadline for entry has passed and the free pattern already given to the winner. However, you can still purchase this pattern. Check your favorite independent fabric stores.
