Today I’m happy to introduce a very special guest post.  It’s none other than Tanya Whelan from Grand Revival!.  She’s here today to talk about her new book, Sew What You Love.  She’s also going to tell us all about the freebies and giveaway celebrating the release of her book.  Take it away, Tanya!


I’m so grateful to Craft Gossip for letting me talk about my new sewing book, Sew What You Love, the Easiest Prettiest Projects Ever today. The book includes 30 projects for bags, home, childrens items (toys, bedding, clothes) and adult clothing. And comes with three large pattern sheets in an envelope at the back of the book. The projects are really simple and will work for sewers at any level. Also included are techniques and tips for sewing with knits, using elastic thread and bag construction. Basically I really wanted to show projects that were simple, pretty, easily achievable and that people would want to use in their everyday life.

To celebrate the release of my book I have a few goodies to tell you about:

    I’m 41 and haven’t ever sewed. I was always to serious about breaking the sewing machine. But something got into me in September 2010, so I learned to start quilting. For a long time, (at first) my hands would get sooo sweaty I thought I would give it up but I just stayed with it and I now I love to quilt. I’m still nervous to try the adventure of just sewing but if I was to win the fabric I would get your book and try making something from the book and the gorgeous fat quarters… I think you fabric is sooo beautiful!!!!

    This book looks so beautiful! If I don’t win, I’m wishing for it for my upcoming birthday. I’m a HUGE fan of Grand Revival fabrics…love to use Darla and Delilah for just about everything. Sugar Hill is such a sweet addition to my alltime favorites! Must get some asap!!!
