Daniela from On The Cutting Floor shares a tutorial for making this lovely panel skirt with a shirred waistband. The piecing makes it a great project to stretch a favorite print. The amount of fabric you need will depend on the size you’re making. For a size 10 (40″ hip), she used 3/4 yard of the main fabric plus 1/2 yard each of two accent fabrics. You can make it to fit any size using her instructions to cut the pieces. Rows of elastic thread shirring create the gathers and a stretchy waistband. Get the tutorial at On The Cutting Floor.
