bella-backpackJulie from julie-k made this drawstring backpack for her daughter.  Drawstring backpacks are a perennial favorite sewing project because they’re quick, they’re easy, and they’re practical.  She followed a tutorial from Martha Stewart, but made modifications to get the look you see here.  I especially like how she made the straps and attached them to the bottom of the bag.  She gives a quick run-down of that step in case you want to replicate it in your own sewing projects.  Read more about her bag and modifications, and get the strap how-to, at her blog.
