Joan from Nini Makes shares an ingenious method for making faux patchwork detailing.  It’s perfect for using up tiny scraps of fabric, and the result looks like you put far more effort into it than you really did.  You can use the resulting cheater cloth in any number of ways in your sewing projects, from appliques on shirts to contrast panels on purses or bags.  Go to her tutorial.
