A while back I shared my Snappy Composition Book Cover (free pattern) at Orange Bettie. I’ve made quite a few of them since then, which means I’ve been playing around with some variations. Because I never make the same thing more than a few times before I start trying to change it up. My first variation is adding a clear vinyl pencil pouch to the back notebook pocket. Now you can keep all the pencils and pens and other supplies you need right where you need them! I’ve got a tutorial at Orange Bettie showing how to do it.
My tutorial is an adaptation of the Back-to-School 3-Ring Pencil Pouches tutorial by Sew Can She, with changes made to incorporate it into the composition book cover. (If you’re wanting to make a pencil pouch for a binder, I highly recommend her tutorial!)
