Jess from The Sewing Rabbit shows how you can make a fabric basket out of a French grain sack. Notice how it stands up straight – that’s because she adds structure to the inside with a piece of plastic. It stands up on its own. Or, because it’s curved at the front and flat on the back, you can also hang it on a wall. The printed burlap gives a vintage feel to the fabric basket. If you don’t have a grain sack, you could also use a coffee bag. Or, maybe stencil your own design on to some burlap yardage.
