Tutorial: Leather grommet bag with convertible straps

Staci from Crafty Staci shortened a long leather coat to make a snappy little jacket.  Then, she used the pieces of leather she cut off of the bottom to make a matching bag.   The red leather is gorgeous enough on its own, so no need for a complicated shape.  She uses oversized metal grommets to attach a webbing strap.  The clever strap design can be worn two ways – shown here, it’s a pair of straps that can be worn on the shoulder.  Or, pull one side up and it becomes a long single strap that can be worn cross body.  It’s fully lined, with a zippered pocket on the inside.  Want to see how she made it?  Go to her blog for the tutorial.
