Ruby Murray shows how easy it is to make a gathered skirt on a wide elastic waistband. Rather than starting from scratch, she uses a thrifted dress. This is SUCH a good idea – for a handful of reasons. For starters, it’s cheap. Thrifted clothes are usually cheaper than buying straight yardage. It’s good for the environment, too – using old materials instead of new. And, you save tons of time by making use of the existing hem. She made this skirt in just 10 minutes. Get the tute.
