Lynette from Running With Scissors shows two ways to use a pinch hem to shorten a pair of pants. Rather than just cutting excess fabric off of the bottom, it pinches out the extra fabric so the original hem is preserved. It’s a particularly good hem for jeans, when you want to preserve the weathering and wash of the original hem. She shows how to make an Original Pinch and a Hidden Pinch hem.
