Tutorial: Vintage tablecloth cross-body toteAshlee from My So Called Crafty Life shows how to make this awesome cross-body tote out of a vintage tablecloth.  The leather (or faux leather) bottom makes a cool contrast with the vintage tablecloth.  It only takes a small bit of the tablecloth to make this, so you could use one that has damage in places.  Or, use your favorite vintage fabric scraps or even a tea towel. Go to My So Called Crafty Life for the tutorial.

Ooooo, awesome idea. I have some vintage tablecloths that are too far gone to use and was thinking of making shorts and maybe a halter, but this would be simpler and faster. I love vintage (wrote a vintage novel: The Girl in the Jitterbug Dress),sharing and heading over to check out the tutorial. I’m thinking bamboo or bakelite handles????
