Tutorial: Zipper heart ornaments

Tutorial: Zipper heart ornaments
Tutorial: Zipper heart ornaments

Christie from Lemon Squeezy Home shows how you can make these cute zipper heart ornaments.  They’d be pretty on any tree, but they’re particularly meaningful to someone who has a child with a heart defect.  Christie says, “the reason zipper hearts are frequently used in the heart defect world is because we wish that our kiddos would have an easy in, easy out option, so they are often declared an official member of the “Zipper Club” once they’ve had open heart surgery.”  She made up a bunch of these zipper hearts to give to families staying in the cardiac unit at the hospital where her own daughter had heart surgery a year ago.  Whether you give them to a cardiac surgery family, or just to someone  you love very very much, they’re pretty ornaments and easy to make.
