As sewists, we put a lot of thought into choosing the right fabrics for our projects. The right weight, the right color, the right prints. It’s just as important to choose the right interfacing for your project. Though it never actually shows its face on the outside of your project, interfacing has a pretty important job on the inside of your project. It gives structure or reinforces the pretty fabrics we use on the front. The right interfacing depends a lot on the fabric you’ve chosen and the type of project you’re making. Deby from Sew So Easy compares some of the more common types of interfacing, explaining the differences between them and when to use them.
