I know it’s not quite Christmas, but someone has to push you into the Christmas Crafting mindset. By the time the rest of the world is thinking about Christmas, you have lost valuable Christmas sewing time. These Christmas tree skirt sewing patterns ALL contain ruffles, some have a couple of ruffles whilst other patterns are all ruffles from middle to edge.
It may not be the holiday season quite yet, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas crafting. In fact, starting early can be a great advantage, as it allows you to have more time to complete your projects before the holiday rush begins.
One thing I want to remark about is how heavy ruffles are. I don’t suspect weight to be an issue whilst around your Christmas tree, but for sewing purposes, sewing layers and layers of ruffles do add up and if you have issues with your wrists, it could be taxing. Yes that this from personal experience! A few years ago I made a bed ruffle and it was so heavy it was ridiculous, by the time I was finished it weighed over 10 kgs. I guess it was the weighted blanket before weighted blankets became an actual thing. This is something to consider, especially if you’re planning to use a lot of ruffles in your tree skirt.
These pretty ruffle designs give your tree a nice shabby chic or dainty look (depending on the fabric you use) Check out all the sewing patterns here below.
