Book Review: 10,000 Knitted Hats

December 22, by Anne Weaver. Leave a Comment

Always on the lookout for a good hat knitting pattern?  The book 10,000 Knitted Hats by Jo Allport has you covered!

This interactive pattern book breaks a knitted hat into three sections – the crown, the body, and the brim – and then allows you to mix & match different patterns for these sections to create a custom hat knitting pattern.  With 23 options for each section, there are over 10,000 hat options in this one book!  (10,626 to be exact.)

Even better, the flip-pages allow you to see how these elements would look together.  Flip through the pages to discover new combinations and build a pattern with exactly the crown, body, and brim you want.  And then on your next hat, flip the pages around a different way to create a whole new pattern!

If you’re a beginner knitter, a section in the back gives instructions for all of the stitches and techniques used in the patterns.
