Book Review- Mandy’s Magical Christmas: 10 timeless sewing patterns for a handmade yule

November 30, 2021 by Shellie Wilson

I am a little late to the Christmas sewing this year, I don’t know if I thought Christmas was going to come a little slower or if I am just unorganized and unprepared this year. But I still think there is time to start some Christmas sewing, I mean what blows away the winter blues better than a night in the sewing room?

Magical Christmas by Mandy Shawl

Nobody does a handmade Christmas like Mandy Shaw! Learn how to decorate your home with unique and personal touches with this gorgeous collection of sewing patterns from the Queen of Christmas Craft. Featuring Mandy’s signature Redwork designs and cute folk-inspired characters, this charming book brings Mandy’s best-loved Christmas projects together into one volume. Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
