Book Review – The Chic Girl’s Guide to a One-of-a-Kind Wardrobe

March 7, 2023 by Shellie Wilson

A few months ago I read “The Chic Girl’s Guide to a One-of-a-Kind Wardrobe: Altering and Embellishing Hemlines, Sleeves” and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to buy this book for myself as a Christmas gift. The book provides helpful advice from a chic girl’s point of view on how to refashion and embellish your clothes to achieve an exceptional wardrobe.

Kristina’s inventive techniques for adjusting hemlines, playing with sleeve additions, and adding height to necklines are truly inspiring. Whether you prefer a modern or classic look or a vintage vibe, you’ll find plenty of cute and stylish solutions for your fit issues.

With step-by-step instructions and creative inspiration, this guide is perfect for anyone looking to create unique and chic clothes. So, if you’re looking to add some personality to your wardrobe, this book is a must-read!

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
