Closet Monsters winner

February 9, 2011 by Anne Weaver

I loved reading all of the comments/entries for the Closet Monsters giveaway!  I could sooooo see all of the garments you described turned into a Closet Monster softie.

But let’s get on with the business of this post.  You want to know who won the book, don’t you?  Random.org picked a winner for me, and it was….

Commenter #82, Elaine G who said:

I’ve got an old bridesmaid dress that already looks like something a monster would wear. Why not make a monster out of it.

This is such an awesome idea!!  Who doesn’t have one of those semi-formal monsters lurking in the back of their closet?!?  Take it out and give it new life as a softie!

Elaine, I’m sending you an email to get your contact information.  Congratulations!

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
