Craft Gossip Dolly Donation Challenge: Wrap-up and a huge thank you!

September 28, by Anne Weaver. 2 Comments

Look at all the dollies we collected for Dolly Donations!  You guys are FABULOUS!!  We collected a total of 29 dollies that will go to children who have no special dolly friend to call their own.  The dollies you made with love and attention will snuggle up tight to these children at night, be constant playmates, and a comfort for their tears.  Let me say it again – you guys are FABULOUS!!!

These dolly boys and girls will be lovingly packed into a box and mailed to Sarah Hanson of Dolly Donations.  This is a bit of a change from the original plan, but rest assured that your dollies will still be going to children who need them.

Free the Kids, the recipient organization of the current dolly drive, has seen such an overwhelming show of generosity that they’ve already received all the dollies they need for the children in their care.  They’re closing this dolly drive early, so the dollies you made will be going to the recipient organization of the next dolly drive.

Sarah at Dolly Donations will keep these dollies safe and sound, and will send them on to the next organization who will be giving handmade dollies out to children in need.  You can read more at Dolly Donations.

Thank you again for giving of your time, attention, and fabric stash in order to bring smiles to the faces of children you’ve never met.  You guys are fabulous, amazing, wonderful, terrific, and every other nice word I can think of.
