I never would have thought that a simple trip to Japan would change my entire outlook on crafting. Before my visit, I had always considered myself a “diy-er”, but I never really took the time to appreciate the finer details of handmade goods. That all changed when I was gifted a traditional origami fabric craft by a local shopkeeper.

As I began to learn more about the history of this particular craft, I was blown away by the intricate details and the amount of time and effort that went into each and every piece. I was also amazed by the different ways that the fabric could be folded and manipulated to create different shapes and patterns.

It was then that I realized that there was so much more to crafting than just throwing something together. The beauty of folded origami fabric crafts is in the detail and the precision of each fold. It is a true art form that takes patience and skill to master.

Since my trip to Japan, I have been slowly collecting different fabric crafts and learning as much as I can about this fascinating art form. I am now more appreciative of the time and effort that goes into crafting each piece, and I am slowly but surely becoming a master of this craft myself.
