Free pattern: Knot Tote

June 26, 2015 by Anne Weaver

Free pattern: Knot Tote

Free pattern: Knot Tote

Jess from The Sewing Rabbit has updated her Knot Tote pattern and has the new version up for download.  She shared the original pattern 4 years ago, and it continues to be a favorite.  The hobo style bag has has a knotted handle and also a knot closure at the top.  It’s easy enough for beginners to sew, and can be completed in an evening.  Finished dimensions are 18″ wide by 12″ tall (not counting handles). The updated version replaces the hand drawn pattern with a computer drafted pattern.

Not true. Her blog says click here to download pattern and that takes me to “upcraft club” where there is no download button. So I check out of the tote page and now it wants me to sign up for $10.00 a month. Doesn’t seem too free to me.

It is actually free. I clicked the link to download the pattern and was taken to Upcraft Club where I was able to “purchase” the pattern for $0.00. I was able to download the pattern for free, with no monthly subscription charge. –Anne

I managed to get through to the download button, although it took three tries before the “fetching files” notice actually fetched the files. And then it turned out the knot that appeared to close the top of the bag is just for decoration. Oh well. it’s a pretty looking bag and I am looking forward to making it.
        Thanks,
        Sandra
