Sew4Home shares a free pattern for making this starfish pillow. They made theirs from a fabric with a coral print, in keeping with the nautical theme.  Buttons accent each arm.  There are a lot of curves on this pillow, but they include tips and links for keeping them smooth.  They also give links to tutorials showing how you can sew all those buttons down quickly using your sewing machine.
