As I’ve been out back-to-school shopping with my daughter, I’m seeing loose fit graphic print shorts in lots of stores. Melissa from Blank Slate Patterns and Melly Sews shares a free pattern you can use to make a pair. It’s actually a previously shared pattern for women’s boxer shorts, but she shows a small alteration to make it look less like pajamas. She also gives some great styling tips to keep it from looking like you’re wearing loungewear. Her free pattern fits a women’s hips sizes 34?-38″. If you need another size, you can use this tutorial to resize it as needed.
