If I’m sewing clothing, or anything else that will get washed, I always always always prewash my fabric before sewing it. In a perfect world, I’d prewash all of my fabric before it went into the stash, but this is most certainly not a perfect world and I have to ask myself, “Did I prewash that?” every time I pull fabric from my stash. If it’s not obvious from fraying, I’ll end up washing it again – just to be sure.
