Idea file: Color block your dress lining

piecedliningThis dress by Laura from Behind the Hedgerow makes me so happy!  It’s just as beautiful on the inside as the outside.  She made the dress from a white waffle weave fabric, with a collar and sash from a vintage-y print.  But check out what she did with the lining.  Instead of making the lining blend in with the main dress fabric, she color blocked it.  What a fun and unexpected pop of color!!  Go to Behind the Hedgerow to see more photos and read about her project.
