Okay, confession time: I love a good oversized hoodie. And lately, I’ve been eyeing the new Outdoor Jacket Oodie from Oodie.com—the one with the super snuggly fleece lining? It’s basically a wearable doona you can take on a camping trip or dog walk. Total dream, right?
But the price tag? Not so dreamy.
So naturally, I went on the hunt for a DIY alternative, and I think I’ve found a winner: this Sweatshirt Dress Sewing Pattern on Etsy. It’s designed for knits (so yes to stretch and comfort), has that oversized cozy fit, and totally gives Oodie vibes—especially the outdoor kind if you choose the right fabrics.

There is a fantastic artist on Etsy by the name of Goga. She makes incredible dresses, tops and pinafores. I love her stuff and I would want a pattern from her! Alas, she doesn’t sell patterns! But I love Little Blue Boo’s recycled t-shirt dress! Super cute!
I would be thrilled to get the pattern, QT Rex or the T-shirt hoodie for my 3 yr old grandson!.
