Katy from Sew Apropos and No Big Dill shows the coat that she made, inspired by the classic children’s book Harold and the Purple Crayon. In the book, the young Harold uses a purple crayon to draw an imaginative world of adventure. The outside of the jacket she made is plain gray with bright yellow buttons – sooo cute!! But the real awesomeness of the jacket is on the inside, where she uses purple ribbon to draw a secret world. It even has a little pocket with a purple “crayon”! (Don’t worry – it’s actually made of wood, so it won’t actually mark on the coat…) Read more about her project at No Big Dill.
