Leslie from Leslie’s Art and Sew shows the art dolls she made for her Mystery Critters swap. These little dolls are SOOO cute!! The mermaid and turtle dolls were both made from the same basic pattern. (The mermaid doll has a removable tail – how awesome is that!) Though the base is the same, the embellishment turns them into wildly different creatures. There are so many possibilities for this simple shape! She created the pattern for these dolls and organized the swap on Craftster, and she shares it on her blog.

it was so exciting to be in this swap. the plushie I made ended up being a polynesian dancer and the one I received was an irregularly toothed beaver! it was so fun working on leslie’s pattern; cannot wait for her next offering!
