Delia from Delia Creates joins in the Once Upon a Thread series at No Big Dill with an outfit inspired by the book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. In this book, the mischevious mouse wears a pair of overalls. She adapted a basic pants pattern to create the overalls, and shows photos of how she marked up a muslin to get the right scale and placement of all of the pockets and details. Read more about this cute outfit and how it was created at No Big Dill.

i love what you did to transform your little boys overall pattern.. i just made myself a pair of overalls and i have a few tips for you. first, line your bib with muslin then top stitch. if you sew the right pants front to the back then you can lay out flat to topstitch..then the same with left side front and back. this way those seams will lay flat and look better on the outside of the garment. i took these tips from the directions of my overall pattern and they worked out really well and were very easy to do.it also helps keep the fraying down if you do not have a serger.
