In twenty years of blogging, I’ve received thousands of comments. But a few stand out:
There was the email from a widow who used the Keepsake Bear tutorial from this Keepsake Sewing Projects roundup to turn her late husband’s shirts into memory bears for their grandchildren. The 16 yearold teen who learned to mend because she couldn’t afford new clothes but found my blog. The woman who finally made peace with her changing body by sewing clothes that actually fit.
These are the moments that make the late nights and technical headaches worth it. When someone writes “you made me believe I could do this too” – that’s better than any viral post.
I keep a folder of these messages for the days when imposter syndrome hits. It’s my reminder that sewing isn’t just about fabric and thread – it’s about connection and that is why I have gone back to Monday Musings and writing these little snippets of blogging life for your to read and connect.
