I recently watched the Sew News Sew Along: Pagosa Pants class and it was an amazing experience! The instructors, Kate Zaynard and Amanda Carestio, were so knowledgeable and helpful. They guided us through the process of sewing the perfect summer pant, designed by Kimberly Payne of Straight Stitch Design. The pant features two leg width options, wide and tapered, and includes deep patch pockets, belt loops and a fabric belt. The digital download also includes pattern sizes 0-24, which made it easy for me to choose the perfect size for me.
Whether I was a beginner or an experienced pants sewer, Kate and Amanda offered tips and tricks to enhance my garment sewing experience. Their passion for sewing was evident in their teaching.
Kate Zaynard is the creative editor for Sew News and Creative Machine Embroidery and co-host of the Sew & Tell podcast. She has a background in theatrical costuming and has worked in a professional costume shop. Amanda Carestio is also a co-host of the Sew and Tell podcast. She learned how to sew from her mother at a young age and is currently sewing her way to a me-made wardrobe.
Overall, I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to sew their own pants. The instructors were fantastic and the class was very informative. I can’t wait to try out more classes from Sew Daily in the future!
