Sew Your Own Bridgerton Dress

March 2, 2024 by Shellie Wilson

Just in time for Season 4 fever (because let’s be honest… we are all counting down), I stumbled across the most swoon-worthy Bridgerton-inspired dress pattern and immediately imagined garden parties, empire waists, and dramatic slow turns on a gravel driveway.

If you’ve been dreaming of sewing your own Regency-style gown, the Empire Waist Regency Dress pattern from DAPHNEDESINGCO is such a lovely find. The bundle includes a wide range of sizes — including plus sizes — so it’s beautifully inclusive and practical. Whether you’re planning a full Bridgerton-themed event, stitching up a romantic maxi dress, creating a fairy-core moment, or even sewing a standout Halloween costume, this pattern gives you the structure to make it your own.

There’s something so satisfying about sewing a garment that feels timeless. This gown captures that soft, feminine Regency silhouette while still being wearable and adaptable. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to dive into elegant dressmaking, this might just be it. Imagine finishing it, tying that sash, and stepping back to admire your own handmade masterpiece.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
