Sewing Pattern – How to Make an Easy Patchwork Denim Skirt

May 21, 2020 by Shellie Wilson

In this tutorial I show you how to upcycle jeans to make a simple patchwork jean skirt. This is such an easy to follow patchwork denim skirt tutorial!
I’m steadily trying to sew my way through the giant pile of clothes that Daddy B gave me to upcycle. He had a lot of jeans so I’ve put together a few projects- this skirt, a skirt with a jean top and knit bottom, a bandanna, purse, and bracelet.

With all the excitement and expectation of Santa’s visit, it can be hard for kids to go to sleep on Christmas Eve.  Melissa from Polka Dot Chair created special pillowcases for her nephews, to be used only on Christmas Eve.  When she gave them to them, she included a little poem explaining that they’re magic pillowcases to help them have sweet dreams.  She’s sharing a free printable of the poem on her blog, plus she links to a tutorial she’s written for making a pillowcase, so you can start the tradition with your own kids.
