Sewing Patterns For Men – 13 Patterns For The Gym

August 23, 2022 by Shellie Wilson

You may have noticed that in the past few weeks we have featured a few patterns for sewing patterns for men. After trying to find some patterns to make my teenage son some gym shorts, I realized there were very few roundups with links to great sewing pattern resources for men. So I decided to focus on patterns for men, for a few weeks. I mean I cant be the only one looking for things to sew for men right?

This roundup of sewing patterns is specific to sewing patterns for men, and 13 patterns are great for the gym. These patterns are a great starting point if you’re looking to create workout clothes that are both functional and stylish. You’ll find patterns for shorts, pants, t-shirts and more, all designed to help you move comfortably and freely during your workout.

Some of the patterns included in this roundup are free, and others are paid patterns. The free patterns are a great way to start if you’re new to sewing, or if you’re on a tight budget. However, the paid patterns are often more detailed and include more instructions and step-by-step photos, which can be very helpful if you’re new to sewing or if you’re looking to tackle a more complex project.

So I have included a list of 13 different patterns that would work well for any guy (or gal) who likes to to go the gym.

I have made the running belt and the yoga bag for a male friend and he really liked them, He said the running belt was really handy as not all his gym clothes had suitable pockets, he also liked that it was lycra and tight around his waist so it wasn’t getting in the way of any gym equipment and when he was on the treadmill it had minimum bounce too. So if you are making these running belts, make sure not to make them TOO big, you really want your belongings to be snug and not flopping about, talking about flopping about, check out the tutorial for the JOCK strap!

Sewing your own clothes is a wonderful way to express your creativity, save money, and create a wardrobe that truly reflects your personal style. Whether you’re an experienced sewer or just starting out, there are many benefits to making your own clothes.

One of the main benefits of sewing your own clothes is that you have complete control over the design and fit of your garments. You can choose your own fabrics, colors, and patterns to create something that is truly unique and suits your personal style. Additionally, you can also make adjustments to the fit of the pattern to ensure that your clothes fit you perfectly, unlike buying ready-made clothes which may not always fit as desired.

Another benefit of sewing your own clothes is that it can save you money in the long run. Sure, there may be an initial investment in supplies and patterns, but over time, you’ll save money by not having to constantly buy new clothes. Additionally, you can also upcycle fabrics or clothes to create new garments, which is a great way to be more sustainable and eco-friendly.

With a variety of patterns available, including free and paid patterns, you’re sure to find something that you’ll love. And with this roundup, you’ll find 13 great patterns that are perfect for the gym, so you can look and feel your best while you work out.
