Sewing tutorial: Anna Frozen 2 cloak

Heather from Heather Handmade created this gorgeous cloak for her daughter to dress up as Anna from Frozen 2.  Would you believe she made it from  two skirts?  She has a tutorial showing how she did it.  Using upcycled skirts for the cloak saves money on fabric – plus she got lucky and found a skirt that already had beautiful detailing around the hem!  (If you can’t find a thrifted skirt with the details on it, you can always add your own with bias tape.)  Go to Heather Handmade to see her tutorial.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!
