Alicia from Felt With Love Designs shows how you can use your baby’s outgrown clothes to make a quiet book with soft fabric pages. All those cute little appliques can be repurposed into embellishments and play pieces for the pages! If the clothes are stained (as baby clothes tend to be after much wear at all), you can cut around the stains to create patchwork pages. Such a great idea! You can find her tutorial here.

Quiet books or busy books are educational book/toys made with age or development appropriate activities for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children. They are interactive and tactile. These books usually involve a cause and effect result as well as visual aids to teach fundamental learning skills. These books also develop hand and eye co-ordination. You can find more patterns for making Quiet or Busy books here Etsy.
