Sewing Pattern: Knot bow scrunchie, with pattern

July 9, 2018 by Anne Weaver

The scrunchie is making a comeback, and you’re in luck because I’ve got a tutorial on how to make them! These scrunchies are not only stylish but also practical, and you can use them to tie your hair back, keeping it secure and stylish. If you’re old enough, you may remember scrunchies from the 80s and 90s and how popular they were back then. Well, now they’re back and better than ever. With this tutorial, you’ll learn how to make a scrunchie that looks like a scarf tied around a ponytail.

The tutorial is available over at Bombshell Bling, and she has even included a free pattern for you to make the knotted bow. The great thing about scrunchies is that they’re so fast and easy to sew, you can make a bunch of them from your fabric scraps or fat quarters. It’s a great project for beginners and experienced sewists alike. You don’t need any special equipment or supplies, just some fabric and elastic, and you’ll have a beautiful new scrunchie in no time.
