If you like patchwork but don’t want to tackle a project as large as a quilt, a pillow is a good project for you.  You can play with fabrics and patchwork on a small project you can make in a day.  Nadra from Ellis & Higgs shares a tutorial at Diary of a Quilter showing how you can this pretty patchwork pillow.  This design makes use of half-square triangles to create a patchwork design from 5 different fabrics.
