Sewing pattern: Quilted table runner hot pad

November 9, by Anne Weaver. Leave a Comment

Sewing tutorial: Quilted table runner hot padThis quilted table runner hot pad is perfect for Thanksgiving meals!  The patchwork plaid looks nice as table decor, but it’s also a hot pad so you can fill it with warm dishes when it’s time to serve dinner.  The green and orange color scheme is beautiful for fall!  I’ve got a tutorial over at Bombshell Bling showing how to make it, including how to pick the right shades to create the patchwork plaid design from solid quilting cottons.

Pot holders also known as Heat pads are perfect little weeknight projects. Perfect for scrap fabrics and small handmade gifts that will actually be used in the kitchen. If you love hot pads as much as I do, then you may want to check out some of our favorite designs for sewing patterns we found on Etsy.
