We don’t often think about the shoulders when considering the fit of a garment, but shoulder fit is absolutely important.  A poor fit through the shoulders can make a top or dress uncomfortable to wear (especially when moving your arms) or just look sloppy.  Melissa from Blank Slate Patterns and Melly Sews shows some common shoulder fit problems and how to fix them with adjustments to your sewing pattern.  Her tutorial includes how to make adjustments to the shoulder slope, the joint angle, and shoulder width.
