Melissa from Blank Slate Patterns and Melly Sews shows how to create a side split hem. This hem detail works for either an even hem or a high-low hem. In fact, it’s a nice way to add a high-low effect without having to curve the hem. She shows it on a sweatshirt but it’s also a nice detail for any longer t-shirt or top.
