Usually when the sleeves of a jacket are too long, I’ll just roll them up a bit at the wrist. But that doesn’t work on all jackets, especially a lined winter coat. Sewing for a Living shows how to shorten sleeves on a coat with lining. Shortening the sleeves to the right length gives a better fit and no need to roll the sleeves!
