Betz White, author of Sewing Green, has collaborated with Spoonflower to create a Sewing Green fabric swatch that’s printed on 4 oz. organic cotton. Spoonflower is printing the design on swatches sized to make the Organic Washies featured in her book. (You can purchase them through Spoonflower’s Etsy shop.)
To celebrate this collaboration, STC Craft will be giving away a copy of Betz White’s Sewing Green through their “Show Us How You Sew Green” contest. To enter, make a project that is featured in Sewing Green, uses the Sewing Green fabric, or is eco-friendly, and then post it to the “Show Us How You Sew Green” Flickr group. For a full list of contest fules, get the details from STC Craft | Melanie Falick Books. Deadline is September 14, 2009.
Ellen Wilson says
I made about two dozen flannel, 6X6″ baby wipes for my daughter to use when she had her baby. She sprayed each one with an organic soap, and washed them to reuse the next day over and over again.
