Stencils are such a versatile craft supply, I always make sure I have a handful in my stash! These slimline stencils from the Craft Gossip store are a happy addition to my stencil stash! The designs are so nice, plus they’re sturdy and easy to clean.
If you do journaling or even card making, these stencils would be a great way to add a bit of pattern to a design. But you can also use them with fabric!
Lately I’ve been playing with monoprinting using a gel plate. So when I got these stencils, that’s the first thing that came to mind. While I usually do my printing on paper, I thought it would be fun to try printing on fabric.
These are the prints I made with my gel plate and the slimline stencils.
I printed on to plain canvas fabric using acrylic paint and a bit of fabric medium on my gel plate. I love how the designs work together when you use a similar color palette for the different prints!
And what did I do with these bits of printed fabric? I made them into pencil pouches! I used different prints for the front/back of the pouches. Here are the fronts:

And I’ve still got 2 more pieces of printed fabric left over for another project!
