The Sweetest Non-Chocolate Easter Gift You Can Sew – Felt Basket & Cookie Pattern Review
If you’re on the hunt for a non-chocolate Easter gift that’s still ridiculously adorable and fun for kids—stop right here because I’ve found the one.
I recently came across this Felt Basket with Easter Cookies PDF tutorial by RaschudesYefairyland on Design Bundles, and let me tell you—it’s Easter magic without a single sugar crash. ??
Sew Your Own Sweet Treats (Minus the Sugar)
This pattern lets you sew a soft little Easter basket and fill it with handmade felt cookies shaped like bunnies, eggs, and other seasonal cuteness. It’s like making your own candy-free goodies, and honestly, it might be even more fun than the real thing (plus it lasts way longer!).
Kids can pretend play, decorate, or just tote these cuties around—and you don’t have to worry about meltdowns from too much chocolate. It’s perfect for:
Toddlers
Preschoolers
Kids with food allergies
Parents trying to keep the sugar low this Easter
What You Get
The downloadable PDF includes:
Easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions
Printable pattern pieces
Tons of photos (great if you’re a visual learner)
Tips for both hand sewing and machine sewing
Even if you’re newer to felt crafting, this project is super manageable. You can knock it out in a weekend, or batch-make a few if you’ve got a whole bunch of littles to spoil.
Can you make a quilt with faux fur???
I am not an expert quilter by any means, but I’d think that you might be able to make a quilt with faux fur so long as you were not piecing together tiny pieces. I’d stick to large, simple shapes like squares. You’d also need to experiment to see if the seam allowances would be too thick for it to lay flat.
