Flip flops are my daughter’s footwear of choice this summer. I cringe every time I see her running down the driveway in them. I’m just waiting for them to flop off of her feet mid stride and cause a skinned knee. Jen from Eat. Sleep. Make. shows how an easy fix. She adds an elastic strap to the backs of a pair of flip flops so they stay put on the feet. And since you can now buy elastic in fun colors at the fabric store, it’s as easy as a couple of rows of handstitching on each shoe. Go to Eat. Sleep. Make. for the how-to.
