Abby from Things for Boys shows how you can add trims to your seam without pinning them in place. Instead, she uses basting stitches to keep them in place while she sews the seam. It’s faster this way and you don’t have the pins buckling up the fabric. This works with ric rac, pom pom rim, braid, and lace. Go to Things for Boys to see how she does it.
