This Jingle Bird softie would make a cute toy, but it would also be a sweet ornament to hang on your Christmas tree! Stephanie from Swoodson Says shares a free pattern for making it. The Jingle Bird is made from felt and has a little jingle bell tucked inside. The stitching is easy enough for a child to help with, or sew the entire bird depending on their age and skill level.
If you are sewing this for a small child, you may want to consider replacing the jingle bell with a child safe bell insert, and using embroidery stitches for the eyes in place of buttons that may be a choking hazard.
